Project details

According to the guideline agreed with the municipal administration of Lucera, the municipal playground redevelopment project concerns the construction of a first lot equipped with new pedestrian routes within the park; the restoration or reconstruction of some of the services for utilities; the replacement of facilities and equipment dedicated to play activity, according to current regulations; the definition of more areas for green and the construction of new plants, until completion of the entire area of the playground by means of future lots.

The realization of the latter, needed for the age and for the state of decline, considers on the whole area a new water plant, a new power plant, a new “Micro” and “Macro” lighting system, a new piped music system and video surveillance system.

The design has been advanced through typological and functional choices, based on data obtained from the study of structural and environmental characteristics of the park and in the intense opportunities of use of existing venues, according to information provided by the Town Council in accordance with the Existing Local Strategic Plan.

Having considered the morphological characteristics and the tree species present on the site, there was evidence of design limitations that do not spoil but rather regenerate the interested area, reducing the environmental impact and reducing costs.

The project involves a large number of gaming facilities and fields for sports (basketball, volleyball and bocce), as well as designated areas for socialization of users of various age groups. Particular attention will be given to the preparation of “relax” and green areas, suitable for recreational naturalistic activities that enhance the environment in which it will develop the work. These areas, which are present in the park, have been structured to promote the socialization of the users, and to promote the use of the park itself by an increasing number of people.
